This is the pallet house. It was design by Schnetzer Andreas Claus and Pils Gregor. They won the Gaudi European Student design competition with the Pallet House. The home was assembled from 800 pallets. This image was taken at the 2008 Venice Architecture Biennale.
The house seems to be a productive solution to the problems that people face on a daily basis, housing issues. The project confronts the idea of providing architecture from a seemingly meaningless piece of junk. While, it may not appear to be a productive solution to American housing, it provides a viable solution to countries around the world that deal with housing crisis as a constant.
