--- 11 ---Porsche Pavilion - Luan Vinicius
The Porsche Pavilion is a project by Henn Architekten situated in Wolfsburg, Germany. It was projected to represent the union between the Volkswagen Group and Porsche. Inside the pavilion there are presentations and exhibitions. The organic shape is compound by a structure of iron and concrete. Around 620 sheets of stainless steel cladding with welded ribs were prefabricated in a ship-yard in Stralsund and assembled on site. The most interesting thing about this design is that the structure is trying to represent the dynamic flow of driving with a seamless building skin. This is absolutely one of my favorites projects. The simple and strong design that establish a really amazing connection with the landscape is what caught my attention. The pavilion looks like is rising from the ground and almost “kissing” the reflection pool, what turns this project not only a spectacular project, but also a real poem.
