The House of Stone, or Casa do Penedo, was built in the Fafe mountains of northern Portugal. Built as a family's retreat in 1974, the house is made with four large boulders on the site and is said to include many modern amenities such as a fireplace and swimming pool. Recent attention has cause the owner to have to move and install bullet proof windows and doors because of vandalism.
This house is interesting because of how it fits into the natural environment. You would almost miss the house if you were not specifically looking for it.
